She Saw Jesus
July 8th, 2008INTERVIEW: Frieda McRae
Where do you live?
I am now nearly Indian. I’ve been in India for 34 years, and all of that time I have lived in the Dehra Dun district of Uttrakhund.
What is your occupation? (or what do you do?)
I have always been involved with children. My husband and I started a children’s home and a school. Presently I am principal in the school which has nearly 500 students. My passion, though, is to write music and to write about people’s experiences with God. I love to worship… spend time with the Lord.
What is your relationship with Hebron School?
My youngest daughter studied at Hebron School for 6 years. I got to know many of the staff and have a deep respect for their dedication and effort to do the best possible for their students.
What made you to write this book?
When Pari became ill, I wanted to support her and her family in any way I could. I kept in touch and was amazed at Pari’s experiences with Jesus. I felt very strongly that they needed to be shared. Her experiences with God were not only inspiring, but challenging. It was something that I personally “had” to do.
What was your connection to Pari?
Pari was my daughter’s roommate when she joined Hebron School. I met Par’s mother on her first day; we immediately began a close friendship.
What was it about Pari’s life that especially touched you?
What touched me the most was that after her vision of Jesus, everything changed for her. After she had met Jesus, she longed for Him, for His fellowship, for His embrace… more than anything else in life.
Do you have anything to say about Hebron School in this situation?
Hebron School is exemplary in their dedication of serving the whole student - spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. They really did all they could to help not only Pari, but her family. They joined with her family in much prayer, joined with them in their loss and extended whatever comfort they could.
